1-to-1 Wellbeing support

Young Swindon and Wiltshire 1 to 1 wellbeing mentoring criteria include the young person needing to be aged between 9-16.

To take part in the mentoring programme, children & young people need to be not currently at Child Protection level, and not currently receiving support from primary mental health services (TaMHS, CAMHS).

Young Swindon and Wiltshire Wellbeing is voluntary for young people. Make sure you have a conversation with the young person being referred beforehand to ensure they would like to have a mentor.

Young Swindon and Wiltshire wellbeing operates on a rolling cohort basis to avoid long waiting lists. Cohorts last for 12-16 weeks. If referrals are currently closed, they will re-open again within a few weeks.

When referrals are open, the wellbeing programme accepts referrals for mentoring that can be funded, e.g. by the referrer, the child’s school, or via an EHCP plan.
